    1. App control: Specify activation of Radio/WiFi/Both

      1. Location based games, maps and apps that use geotagging might benefit if both radio and wifi are enabled at the same time. (they can get location data from GPS, radio, or wifi)
Would it be possible to add an option in each of the listed applications in the Configure Apps screen to specify activation of Radio/WiFi/Both?
As an example, the current Apps control might enable radio, but it will never enable wifi at the same time if wifi has already been disabled.

      2. Some apps such as Kindle might require connectivity for a few minutes immediately after load, but… more

        1. Most of the apps that might make use of WiFi have an option to enable it while the app itself is running. On a side note, this caused an unfortunate side-effect prior to v3.3.1 (“WiFi disabled by user”) – but it’s now fxed, and it’ll be on the Market soon.

        2. Good point! I’ll change the “disable app” behaviour so that the Traffic trigger will have precedence – that should solve the problem (again, in v3.3.1)

      • Please include support for the smartass governor

The option for governor could be expanded. The smartass governor is included in almost all nexus s kernels.

          • Settings get corrupted after JD service killed

Running on Stock LG 2.3.3 on a TMobile G2x. Running JD Beta 3.5.6. JuiceDefender Ultimate service is killed after several hours, and the settings file is corrupted. Next time JD is launched, defaults to stock settings, 'balanced" settings. Forced to restore settings from backup (which are sometimes overwritten on first launch). No task managers\killers, no memory managers. Reproduced by other users

I am using JD Ultimate on my ZTE Blade running 2.3.5 CMT NB 178.
Now I have upgrsded to 3,6,2 beta in order to use BT controll. Unfortunately, it does not reconnect to my BT car set, even with "force reconnection" and define the paired device. How can this be solved?

                Works on CM7 nightly here…
This could very well depend on the BT device you’re connecting to; all the devices with the ‘headset’ or ‘handsfree’ profile that I could get my hands on work as expected, but you never know…
So: try with different devices; if none work, try with a different firmware if possible! (maybe some nightlies on some phones have issues on the BT stack?)

              • Schedule running at wrong times

I have Juice defender ultimate 3.5.6 beta, and am having problems with the data schedules.

Every time it runs at 48 minutes past the hour, and not on the hour, which causes my email to not sync.

I've tried uninstalling, removing data, and lots of different methods to try to force it to sync on time, but nothing works. Always at 18 /48 minutes past, running a 30 minute interval.

I have a Desire HD, running the latest version of Virtuous Unity.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

                • Lag on state change

I am using JD 3.6.2beta on an HTC Desire CDMA. The issue I am having is that when there is a state change my notification bar seems to freeze and my phone becomes unresponsive. An example of this is when I open an app by clicking on a notification, this will often cause the notification bar to stop half way up as it is closing and the phone will be unresponsive. I can not repeat this when JD is disabled. Similarly, if I attempt to open the notification bar directly after open an app it will freeze.

Using the latest beta on a Droid Charge (v. 3.6, I think), I just started using the app specific triggers 3-4 days ago thinking that this would be much more efficient than having the data radio enable every time I unlock the phone. However, it seems that the battery usage is much worse. It's 2:30pm and I'm down to about 35% with what I think is minimal usage, typical for a work day for me. Usually I would be at around 60-70%. Anyone have an idea if there are certain kinds of apps that I may have enabled that are… more

                            can you please try this:

                            • uninstall JuiceDefender and Plus/Ultimate if you purchased them: home/menu/settings/applications/manage applications/(find JuiceDefender)/uninstall
                            • reboot your phone (turn it off then on again)

If the problem persists, try JuiceDefender beta, as it usually contains several specific fixes over the stable version:

                            • uninstall JuiceDefender

Additionally, it might occasionally happen that your configuration gets corrupted or anyway unusable; to solve this:

                            • uninstall JuiceDefender
                            • delete the JuiceDefender.backup file in your “Download” folder on your SDcard.
                            • reinstall JuiceDefender, do NOT restore your settings
                          • Captivate 2.2 Froyo w/JD 3.7.2 and UL now OK

Status report on JD beta crashing on Captivate 2.2 Froyo in versions 3.6.8-3.7.1 now seems to be fixed in version 3.7.2
3.7.2 clean so far about 24 hours now and at 2.13 power savings.
Thanks for the work on this guys.

                                  • Mobile Data Autofix: bug?

                                    Mobile Data Autofix: BUG

This bug is present in all stable and beta versions I tried.
Currently using the latest v3.7.7 beta.

I like the Mobile Data Autofix because it is true, sometimes I have to do it manually to reset a correct data connection. So I love that JD is taking care of it automatically.

However, during the night, I enable the "Airplane Mode"; under this mode, if I restart the phone, then the MDA features actually reset the GSM network to "fix mobile data". As a result, GSM is enabled although airplane mode was selected.

                                    Same issue when… more

Sounds like a bug too me..
lets see if we can reproduce this? (everyone please test and report)

JD Ultimate used to startup automatically on my SGS2 with Android 2.3.4 after a restart but now needs the Workaround option to be enabled. The term "Workaround" does not somehow give a good feeling :) Why this difference in behavior and yet another configuration option?
