"Data off: User" - Connection remains disabled even turning off JD
On screen unlock/schedule/etc JD won't turn mobile data back on. The notification/widget/log says "Data off: user" or variants thereof. But I didn't disable mobile data!
260 votesThis is adressed in 3.9.6
Please confirm:

1) We’re talking about the “data disabled by user” issue here. How to know if that’s the problem you’re having? Check the notification/widget/log – does it say “Data off: user” (or graphical variants)?
2) Make sure this is NOT caused by a) you explicitly disabling mobile data via Android settings/widgets/etc. nor b) you inadvertently tapping on JuiceDefender’s widgets nor c) another app (either via JD’s API or on its own)
3) Do whatever steps are necessary to replicate the issue (i.e. to make JD come up with “data off: user”)
4) send the log immediately afterwards (mention “data off: user” in the email)If there’s no connection, but you see “data on: something”: that’s an entirely different problem, which is
1) due to your carrier (it refuses to reconnect you for some reason) – not JD
2) rarely and randomly occurring … -
Jelly Bean Problems *JB*
On my Verizon Galaxy Nexus I can't even enable juice defender because ever since my Jelly Bean update it not only kills the data, but the network connection and sometimes even kicks my phone into Airplane mode. Please fix this soon, I can't even use Juice Defender due to this problem!

trafic trigger works with Wifi?
Hi:
I don't misunderstand, trafic trigger is for data connection, or not?
If yes, you should enable it.
If not, then I think it's not working, because last night I was copying a file from my pc to my phone, but when the screen gone off, Wifi too and the copy stops, so I had to keep the screen on...
I'm on a galaxy note, Android 2.3.6 and the last version of JD ultimate...

how exactly where you transferring files? What app?
Thank you -
Custom CPU Speed at different conditions
Add abbility to set profiles to change max,min CPU speed at different conditions (eg. when screen off, charging...), much like SetCPU
If this is made it, Juice Defender will be the ULTIMATE App on the Market.15 votesI dont see it happening, but please vote!

juicedefender.service wakelock
According to Better Batterystats, JuiceDefender.Service is causing a partial wakelock (25m 15s (1515 s) Count 1016 (9.0%). It is at the top of the list and is significantly ahead of the next wakelock at 2m 54s.
I am using Juice Defender Ultimate 3.9.4 with the stock Aggressive profile on the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE (Skyrocket).
What might be causing this?
13 votesBasically Android OS changed its way of displaying wakelocks with gingerbread which caused android to point towards JD regarding some wakelocks… It is nothing you should worry about.
JD DOES cause some wakelocks though (because it has to wake the device everytime data gets triggered). How long was the overall time (in regard to the 25 minutes)

Bluetooth and Galaxy S3
BT is not controlled on a Verizon Samsung GS3. It will turn off BT though if manually turned on, after I have turned my car off. However, BT will not turn on when car is restarted.
I have JD Ultimate 3.9.A. Car is a 2012 Toyota.
I like your software, been running it for a few days now at 1.7x.
Thanks!
4 votesHey,
just to get this straight:
By “will not turn on when car is restarted” you mean your phone gets AC power again and you are using “enable on charger” ? -
JB update causes juice defender error
After updating my RAZR M (Australian version) to 4.1.2, jd gives me 'error com.latdroid.juicedefender.bu.a source file XXX'
JD works for a few hours then crashes. Any ideas?4 votesThis is a bug in android OS which should be solved by your carrier soon…(It was in Cyanogenmod too, they fixed it)

Restore daytime notification volume after returning from silent.
It would be great if JD would restore the volume when returning from silent. Now the volume is relatively low, missing calls easily ...

Boot error
I have a phone which is Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and its current android version is Gingerbread 2.3.6 and it is rooted. My problem is that whenever I boot or reboot my phone there is this incident that it would boot up successfully then after more than a minute it freeze for a second and try to reboot again for 2 times and phone shuts down but I've managed to boot it again successfully and use my phone normally. But after that, Juicedefender is always disabled automatically whenever this boot up issue happen. I've checked the JD log and it…
3 votesYou do not have to worry about the AOSP helper (JD just tells you it COULD install it but will not do it automatically)
Does your problem occur when JD is not installed?

App Trigger not working (detailed)
After 3.5.1 update, the app trigger does not work anymore. All other functions appear to work fine, except for this one. I tried the interactive mode on and off. I have tried to unninstall the app (the free and paid versions), but it still does not work. So, I decided to post every detail of my configuration to try and help out. Every option not listed here is not enabled. Here we go:
Phone:
Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000B
Android version: 2.2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9Application Version: Juice Defender Ultimate 3.5.1
Application configs (only enabled configurations listed, all other are disabled):
…
3 votesWell, if I understand this right, you’re hitting an edge case that I thought was just never going to happen (once again I’m proven wrong – the wild variety of configurations you guys come up with is never short of astonishing)
First let me explain a bit of background: this is a perfect example of me going for extreme performance optimization without much worry for the price to pay – e.g., generating some confusion in the user, or missing edge cases.
More specifically: since the Screen trigger is enabled, JD enables connectivity anyway when the screen is on. In that case, there’s no point in checking ‘enable’ (or ‘enable/screen off’) apps. As soon as you turn the screen off – and only then – JD checks for ‘enable/screen off’ apps.
Note that the practical performance benefit is rather minimal – the apps checking itself is super-optimized on its own right…

Whatsapp Enable/Screen off
Dear JuiceDefender Team,
I purchased the JuiceDefender Ultimate App very recently.
The app is working fine.
I have set Whatsapp in the Enable/Screen off mode.
But still, if someone sends me a message on Whatsapp, I get it only when I unlock my screen or when it runs the schedule of 15 mins.
I am using Galaxy S4.My query is, how would it be possible, to make only Whatsapp working all the time, even when screen is off.
As Whatsapp is not working with the Whatsapp Enable/Screen off modeHoping for a resolution for my query.

don't have both advanced and customize
Having both customize and advanced modes really threw me for a loop. I expected to find all the features I was looking for under customize. That is a standard convention. Took me forever to discover hidden features in advanced that i really wanted..you don't need both. Our place advanced inside customize

wifi
Hi, I want to know if there is a way to configure the JD for the WiFi home signal isn't connected all the time, i mean, same as the data signal, which from time to time to connect and "update". I don't need to be permanently connected to the home wifi network with the phone, but I want, when I activate the screen, or from time to time it connects. There is any way to configure that?
I have the ultimate version. Thank you.
2 votesOf course there is :) Just use the “Location” feature and JD will do this. If not check your “schedules”

adding Wi-Fi signal strength logic
If I recall juice defender trust to manage my Wi-Fi based on my location. If so then my suggestion is it should turn off Wi-Fi if the Wi-Fi signal is present but very weak. I find as I leave a location and get in my car Wi-Fi is on so cell data is not availible and the Wi-Fi is to weak to pass data. So I have to drive some distance before my GPS app, email starts to flow again
1 voteSo basically you’d like JD to turn wifi off even when a connection is still present but not strong enough?

support of the app "Secure Settings" for controlling GPS and 2G/3G/4G
Actually my device (HTC Desire S with Custom ROM - rooted) doesn't support the feature to control GPS and data connectivity. Maybe it's possible to support the app "Secure Settings" for controlling this actions.
This app does this actions an any ROM i guess.Greets, bomme
