Autosync & Sync
There have been many questions about apps that do not want to behave with the normal time Schedule of JuiceDefender.
This FAQ will address those questions.
With some apps, like some (HTC) mail clients you do not receive E-mails when JuiceDefender enables mobile data according to the time schedule (e.G. every 15 minutes). JuiceDefender is able to control the Android OS native, built in “autosync” function.
Some apps, unfortunately it is more a couple of, simply use this built in service. It is very easy for programmers to use it! Google provides all programmers with the necessary tools -
How to send logs
The send log button is only available in beta builds. It is located in the About tab. From v3.7.3beta you must have verbose log enabled to be able to send a log.
The log includes device and ROM information. Please include a short description of the problem and/or a mention of the thread where the issue is being discussed.
The log is extremely useful to detect what’s going wrong if you think JuiceDefender is not behaving as expected. In that case you might want to check the entire log yourself, to do this you can either send the log

JuiceDefender is not working anymore
Sometimes after updating JuiceDefender/your firmware/other apps things go wrong in strange ways – that’s Android ;)
The first thing to try is to proceed as follows:
- uninstall JuiceDefender and Plus/Ultimate if you purchased them: home/menu/settings/applications/manage applications/(find JuiceDefender)/uninstall
- reboot your phone (turn it off then on again)
- reinstall JuiceDefender: search for it in the Market app or click this link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.latedroid.juicedefender
- if you purchased it, reinstall Ultimate: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.latedroid.ultimatejuice
- or, if you purchased Plus: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.latedroid.juicedefender.plus
If the problem persists, try JuiceDefender beta, as it usually contains several specific fixes over the stable version:
- uninstall JuiceDefender
- install the latest JuiceDefender beta: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.latedroid.juicedefender.beta

Permissions & privacy
When you install JuiceDefender you’ll notice that it requires several Android permissions to do its work.
Most of them are system permissions necessary to control the various components in your device; however, some may (and should) raise an eyebrow at first glance as they don’t seem relevant to JuiceDefender’s functioning. This article explains what they’re used for. JuiceDefender does not collect any kind of personal or sensitive information. -
Plus and Ultimate: purchase, download, install

Refund policy
If you want a refund, please use the “Contact Latedroid” link for your order at Wallet – http://wallet.google.com – and choose “I’d like to cancel my order”. All requests submitted within one week after the initial purchase will be honored – while the free JuiceDefender is more than enough to make an informed purchase decision, it’s also true that the Google-enforced 15 minutes refund window is ridiculous.
Note that once your order is cancelled you won’t be able to use any of the additional features.
Please allow some time (up to several weeks) for the transaction to be refunded.

US customers getting "over"charged
We have just been informed about a problem that some of our US customers are facing. They bought JuiceDefender Ultimate ($4.99 in the market) but got charged 4.99€ ($6.xx).
This is an issue within the Google Android Market so we can’t do anything; you should contact Google directly: https://checkout.google.com/support/bin/request.py?ctx=cm for Checkout support (might be the best option) or
https://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/request.py?contact_type=market_phone_tablet for Market support. We have contacted them as well but the chances of getting someone at Google to look into the issue are a lot higher if you contact Google yourself.
We are deeply sorry about the problems caused and hope
