Battery life stats unavailable
JuiceDefender samples some aspects of the device operation to provide you with a rough estimate of its effectiveness – a low battery life multiplier is often an indicator that something is wrong in your configuration.
It will take some time (several hours) after you first install JuiceDefender for the multiplier to be displayed – this is normal.
Sometimes the stats file gets corrupted (usually due to the JuiceDefender’s process being terminated unexpectedly) and JuiceDefender has to restart from scratch, but not to worry – the multiplier should come back soon enough.

Can't switch profile / no settings
Sometimes when you try to switch profile the confirm and cancel buttons do not appear; this is a bug in the Android UI framework that can occasionally manifest itself.
In most cases quitting the JuiceDefender UI by pressing back (not home) then reopening it will fix the issue. -
Installing JD Plus/Ultimate crashes the launcher (home screen)
This issue should be fixed as of v3.8.0 – if you haven’t updated yet now it’s a good time to do it. Note that a full uninstall/reinstall of both JuiceDefender free and Plus/Ultimate is necessary.
It had been reported notably on some Sony models and the LG Optimus V, but other devices might be affected.
The cause is a rather poor implementation of their “differentiating” customized launchers by the manufacturers. JuiceDefender uses one particular API call, which is admittedly rarely used, but part of the standard API nonetheless. It seems that Google forgot to insert that specific case into their

Samsung Droid Charge: mobile data control not working properly (Android 2.2 Froyo)
It’s been abundantly confirmed that the problem is due to a (terrible) bug in the Charge stock Froyo firmware.
So the official “solution” is to wait for the Gingerbread OTA update (should be any day now), or, if you’re in a hurry, flash (one of the) the leaked Gingerbread firmware(s).
In the meantime if you wish to retain at least some of the battery benefits of JD you should switch to the Advanced profile (if you haven’t already) and enable “mobile data” under Controls/Keep enabled (but remember to disable it once you get Gingerbread!)

T-Mobile G2X: mobile data control not working (Android 2.3 Gingerbread)
As reported by one user:
“I have the T-Mobile G2X and the free version worked fine with Froyo but it stopped working after the Gingerbread update. It cannot disable data. Log shows: Error disabling data, giving up – Permission denial: writing to secure settings requires android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS”Data gathering shows that the issue is due to yet another silly bug on one specific stock firmware (I see more and more of these popping up on various devices).
The workaround is to revert to good old APN renaming: go to About/Troubleshooting and enable use APN method. As of JD v3.6.6 it

When Timeout is enabled in JD, the screen comes on by itself after a while
This is most likely caused by the fact that you’re not using a pattern/pin/password lock.
The Timeout feature in JuiceDefender is not meant to be used with the regular, insecure lock screen (the “swipe to unlock” thing) – this is also stated in the warning text for the Timeout section. So the solution is simply to disable Timeout (as it can’t be of much benefit anyway in this case). Then again you should seriously consider using some form of lock screen security – just think of how much personal information would be immediately available (all your email!) if your phone

Why does my Homescreen crash / FC / force close when I try to add JD to it?
This is a known bug with the recent Senses (such as EVO 3D): to add a shortcut to JD you MUST open the app list and press-hold on JD’s icon to the homescreen. Press-hold on the homescreen, select ‘app shortcut’ (or w/e it is in Sense) and then pick JD = FC.
If that is what is happening we know about it and are trying to fix it. If your problem is different please contact us.

Why does plus/ultimate have ads to buy plus/ultimate?
This is a known bug which does not have any effect on the functionality of JuiceDefender and will be fixed in future versions.
If you encounter this bug please report back about it in our forums:And check for solutions there.
