@Felix
Dev is working on it, maybe you’ll have it soon…
@masterjo
Nope, the feature doesn’t work the same way as Android default. The thread will remain opened.

Just forced install AOSP Helper on my Infused ROM, and not have GPS control.
I love this feature, but would it be possible to have background programs that require GPS to update local, news, weather ETC. every couple of hours, be on a schedule like the other connectivity options?

Quite some builds since v3.6.6! Development is moving forward fast on several parallel paths; as of v3.7.3, this is the feedback I need:
- AOSP helper (rooted only): if installation failed before, try again – if it fails again send the log and let me know here: http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-general/suggestions/1053767-aosp-helper-all-you-need-to-know
- LTE-capable phones (only if the AOSP helper installed): http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-feedback/suggestions/2235451-4g-lte-support-
- the new Location is getting fixes and improvements at every build – lemme know if it works better or worse: http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-feedback/suggestions/1319595
- MMS problems: MMS should work reliably as of v3.7.3 but it’s 100% untested, so please share your findings: http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-feedback/suggestions/1172191-mms-sending-receiving-not-working
- remotely disable JD via SMS: try it and tell me if it works! http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-feedback/suggestions/2126315-enable-data-if-the-phone-receives-a-sms-with-a-cer

I like this option, but it needs to be refined, i generally find it way to bright in the dark and at night when even at near the lowest setting i could see fine. As well as it not being bright enough in the day, i am still tweaking the curve a bit.
I also would like a better explanation as to what the night color temperature tint is and how to utilize it. -

FEEDBACK REQUIRED:
- Nexus 1/S + CM7: anybody can confirm whether this issue http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=2928 has been fixed? I.e. is network mode switching working without nasty side effects?- Installation failures (other than on HTC devices with S-ON)? (remember to send a log! If the app gets stuck, terminate and reopen it – or reboot – then send log immediately)
- LTE phones: more reports are needed! See here: http://feedback.latedroid.com/forums/70437-feedback/suggestions/2235451-4g-lte-support-
GENERAL INFORMATION
What’s the AOSP helper?
The AOSP helper circumvents some Android limitations that would otherwise make it impossible to perform certain operations.
Currently the AOSP helper, if installed and functioning, can:
1. perform network mode switching (sometimes called band switching) between 2G/3G/4G
2. control the Background Data setting (in addition to the Auto-sync setting)
3. enable and disable GPSWhile #2 and #3 are only really useful, from a battery consumption perspective, in some very specific circumstances, #1 often… more

At&T Samsung Infuse:
Installed AOSP Helper first try a few months back on the custom infused rom. Yesterday i switched to an unofficial CM7, and it has failed 4 times in a row.

Does this really "disable GPS". Because the GPS toggle is always set to on on the notification drop down. As far as i know it doesn't use any battery unless you are actively using it and it shows in the main top activity bar, but i thought it would check.
